Forever New
By Mandy Richardson
Hi there fellow friends. So facebook has been full of status updates talking up how great, successful & enjoyable HM live was. The album is something we can be so proud of, what a quality resource for all of us. If you don't have it yet grab a couple of copies and give your friends and family a chance to hear it!
Every year is full of a variety of experiences some that bring joy and some despair. As we draw to the end of a year we can start to look forward to the freshness a new year brings.
This month God has been reminding me of the fact that we don't have to wait until then for newness but he wants to renew us as often as we need it.
If you think about when you buy something new at first it's in perfect condition but over time and with use and various encounters with other things it becomes tired looking, broken and worn out. This is much like our lives as we live day in day out we become tired, hurt or broken through circumstances and different encounters. As we go through these experiences we can lose faith, hope, passion, ability to trust and be left with a sense of emptiness. This is why it is so necessary to be renewed and restored daily in a God way! Psalm 23:3 tells us that God refreshes our soul and renews us.
The word restore means to bring back to it's former state, to bring back from a state of ruin, to repair, to renew or recover. To give back that which has been lost, to restore harmony and to refresh.
Take some time out today to let God refresh you and make you new in His life changing presence!
Don't miss out this Friday night as we are super blessed to have
youth Pastor Dale Hewitt at HM.
Be there or be square :)
